About International
International is the marine coatings brand of AkzoNobel. International products are developed and produced by AkzoNobel, and the brand supplies coating solutions for vessels worldwide.
International products we stock
Primers and epoxies
- Intershield 300V: a light-colored, abrasion-resistant, aluminum pure epoxy that gives long-term anticorrosive protection. International lists it for water ballast tanks, cargo holds and as a universal primer.
- Intergard 264: a two-pack, self-priming, surface-tolerant epoxy with a low semi-gloss finish and very good chemical and abrasion resistance. Low VOC. A low temperature cure version is also made.
Topcoat
- Interthane 990V: a low-VOC (under 250 g/L), two-component modified acrylic polyurethane finish with excellent durability and long-term recoatability, applied over correctly prepared primed surfaces. International designs it for long-term cosmetic protection in virtually all commercial and industrial exterior environments. It is HAPs free and made without exempt solvents.
Antifouling
- Interspeed 6400NA: a TBT-free, controlled depletion polymer (CDP) self-polishing antifouling for the underwater hull.
Thinners
- GTA007, GTA220 and GTA415. The technical data sheet for each International product names the correct thinner.
Where International coatings are used
International lists Intershield 300V for water ballast tanks and cargo holds and as a universal primer. Interthane 990V gives long-term cosmetic protection on exterior steel, and Interspeed 6400NA protects the underwater hull. Our customers use these products on drydock work, tank work and topside repaints.
